For the test I picked my son's basketball account. Honestly wasn't sure what I was expecting. I just didn't want to follow him officially, that always felt like I was stepping on his toes. First week I mostly just read through comments on his posts. The stories saving was the part that surprised me most. I used to miss them all the time and they'd just be gone. 30 days later I'm glad I did it. There were some comments early on that gave me an opening for a real conversation with him, so. Worth it for that alone.

My daughter got way more active on Instagram around her dance competitions and I wanted to stay informed without making it weird. Setting up was fast, didn't need my own account which is the main thing. Later I kept coming back to this list that shows followers with when they joined. That's the thing I found myself checking most, those new accounts I don't recognize. Loads slow sometimes. But it's saved me a lot of back and forth so I can't really complain too much.

My teen has a gaming account and gets embarrassed when I show up in comments or whatever, says it makes him look bad lol. So I stopped engaging but I still need to know he's doing okay. Just being able to check with an independent viewer is honestly such a relief. I spent most of my time reading through comments and looking at his followers. Turns out he already has fans which is kind of amazing, but I'm also keeping an eye out for the less friendly ones. Keeping the subscription.

Dad of four, my oldest started Instagram a few months ago and puts a lot into it. Me and my wife run a family business and we honestly miss more of her stuff than we should. I'd tried a couple of other tools before this and they were either clunky or full of ads. Peekviewer was cleaner and worked fine on my phone which was important. Been checking in every few days for about a month now, just stories mostly, profile stuff. I've already told a few friends about it.

I don't like giving my login to random apps, that was the main reason i looked for something like this. no login needed was a big deal for me. that's why i use it

I mostly use it to check a few accounts I don't want to follow. I don't like the latest Instagram update anyway, too many ads, and the new interface is annoying. Here I just open it and see what I need.

Good Instagram alternative. no pressure to react or post or do anything. i added a few accounts i was curious about and now i just check them here. feels more like i'm in control of it rather than it being in control of me

Feels safe. I started using it for work but now I use it for personal stuff too. I like just opening a browser and checking things without touching my actual Instagram. Also zero risk of accidentally liking something from 3 years ago which has happened to me before

Tbh didn't expect it to work but it did. had to wait a few weeks. Once it loaded I could see stories without my ig account being involved at all. i use it on desktop mostly, phone works too but scrolling and downloading stuff is just easier on a bigger screen
